West Ham United fans fly high in the premier league but they are at the top of another ranking – making the most farts at games.

A survey by 101greatgoals shows that Hammers fnas make up to 12 farts per game.

Over 90% of Premier League fans surveyed admitted to leaving a tear during their matches.

The traditional diet of beer and pies on game days will not help gas fans.

Big goals spokesman Ben Davies told the Star of the day: “We all know that football fans like to let off steam during the match, but these results surprised us.

“Fortunately, football is an outdoor game, otherwise the fans would cause a bit of a stench.

Hammers fans average 12 toots admitted per 90 minutes.

The average for the Premier League as a whole was just 6 farts per game, half the gas of West Ham’s total.

The second-place fan base was for brand-new Newcastle United, which was right behind with 11 farts per game.

Fans of the brand new Newcastle have followed the Hammers closely with 11 farts per game.

Burnley completed the top three for flatulence with nine Premier League pop-offs per game

Burnley followed with 9 trumps per game while Manchester United’s poor form under late boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was much better in this league.

Red Devils fans were tied for fourth with Wolverhampton Wanderers leaving eight farts per game.

There was a three-way tie for fifth place with Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Watford all on seven.

Brentford placed sixth with six farts per game, edging fans Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United, Liverpool, Everton and Norwich City, all admitting to five failures per game.

Leicester City and Southampton drew for eighth place with four farts per game, ahead of Aston Villa fans in three.

Chelsea, Brighton and Hove Albion fans rounded the table with just two farts per game.
