Varun Dhawan vows to help fan who alleges abuse by her father: ‘Extremely serious matter…’

Actor Varun Dhawan, who is busy promoting his upcoming family drama – Jugjugg Jeeyo – has stepped up to help a fan after she alleged that she and her mother were victims of domestic violence. The female fan took to Twitter to reach out and shared that her father abused her and her mother and beat her too. She added that he wouldn’t let her eat food and used “swearing” and abusive language.

She wrote: “Respected Sir, I have been beaten and abused by my father many times. He abuses me and my mother every day. He for days won’t let me eat, also threatens us using swearing and abusive language.

The fan also shared that she first approached the Gujarat police for help and showed them evidence against the father but the police did not take the matter into consideration. With her tweet, she asked the authorities and the actor to look into the matter and help her.

The tweet caught Varun’s attention, and he assured the fan that he would try to help soon. He wrote: “This is an extremely serious matter and if true I will help you and speak to the authorities.”

Responding to Varun’s response to her tweet, the girl replied to him by tweeting, “I – thank you so much vede 🙂 Will be forever grateful to you :).”

Varun’s quick response to this matter impressed his fans, and they appreciated him through tweets. One fan wrote: “Wow! Respect Respect Respect!! You are amazing Bhai, continue to inspire many people with your kindness, compassion and generosity. On the work side, Varun is waiting for the Jugjugg Jeeyo with Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Director Raj Mehta hits theaters on June 24. Besides Jugjugg Jeeyo, Varun also has Bawaal with Janhvi Kapoor and Bhediya with Kriti Sanon in the pipeline.
