The official US Open Twitter roasted a Seattle Seahawks fan

With the Wimbledon Championships 2022 Under way in London this week, it’s an exciting time in the world of tennis as fans follow the action closely at one of the sport’s four major events.

However, not everyone is so excited about what is widely regarded as the most prestigious professional tennis tournament in the world.

On Saturday, SportsCenter tweeted a video of the third-round bout between Australian Nick Kyrgios and four-seeded Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas – which Kyrgios took in a surprise in four sets – from this pretty tablecloth serve between the legs of Kyrgios, who froze Tsitsipas in the first set of the match.

However, an anonymous online Seattle Seahawks fan was not amused and shared his feelings in the replies.

Is this probably just a good old fashioned (if relatively low effort) troll attempt? Sure. But regardless, @seahawksfan2314 probably regretted it.

You see, it turns out that the big tennis tournaments like to stick together. And this time it was the US Open that came to the defense of Wimbledon. The Official Open account quickly returned with a shot at newly acquired Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock.

Talk about coming off the top rope.

But even more incredible, the fan came back for more.

Seeing the ratio increase, the anonymous tennis hater opted for an ultimate Hail Mary to regain control of the situation: Reverse the ratio on the US Open.

As you can imagine, it didn’t end well for “Seahawks fan 4 life Jose Azocar Truther.”

Seriously, it’s a shame that this fantastic Internet moment came at the expense of Drew Lock, who suffered all sorts of collateral damage thanks to the mistake of an anonymous fan.

Still, the hapless Seahawks fan learned an important lesson – when the US Open knocks you down, it’s better to stay on the ground.

Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf also joined.
