MANILA — It was a dream come true for the Robredo sisters when they finally got a close look at Grammy Award-winning artist Taylor Swift at Jillian’s New York University graduation ceremonies.

Vice President Leni Robredo didn’t miss the moment and recorded her daughters: “I documented the moment on video. Sorry for my unsteady hands.”

His daughter Jillian double majored in economics and math while Swift received an honorary doctorate of fine arts.

In the 3+ minute clip, the Robredo sisters couldn’t contain their emotions as they clapped their hands at Swift.

At one point, elder Aika noticed Swift crying while revealing her accomplishments as an artist, “Oh my god! Umiiyak siya.”

Swift has 11 Grammys to her credit, including three Album of the Year awards for: “Fearless,” “1989” and “Folklore.”

“Swifties that we all are, having Taylor Swift as our graduate speaker was the greatest gift. So when she was about to receive her honorary doctorate of fine arts, Jillian left her seat to go to where we were. seated to savor moment with us,” Vice President Robredo said.

“We were lucky to have good seats. Still very far from the stage but quite a good vantage point.”

Last week, Robredo announced that she would be setting up the Angat Buhay Foundation to continue reaching out to those in need and took a break to focus on getting Jillian to graduate.
