Ravena’s Siblings Japan B. League games watched online by 250,000 fans

MANILA, Philippines – The start of the 2021 Shiga Lakestars and San-en Neophoenix B.League season on October 2 drew more than 250,000 viewers who watched the matches broadcast by Tap Go Digital Media Ventures online.
Tap Digital Media Ventures’ marketing director Rely San Agustin revealed the number after the weekend games.
“We are very happy with the viewership of last week’s games,” said San Agustin. “Best of all, the superb performances of the Ravena brothers have certainly made every Filipino fan proud. We hope they and the rest of our local players continue to give their 100% to the league. The whole nation is watching.
San Agustin said the figures do not include the audience for the Tap Sports channel on Sky Cable and Cignal.
The Shiga Lakestars feature Kiefer Ravena while the San-en Neophoenix have their younger brother Thirdy.
In front of their home crowd at the Ukaru-Chan Arena, the Kiefer Lakestars rallied 22 points to defeat the Neophoenix, 93-83, behind Kiefer’s 11 points and eight assists.
Thirdy got his revenge by being named player of the match in San-en’s superb overtime triumph, 101-96.
Young Ravena scored 20 points and added seven rebounds and five assists.
San Agustin added, “We will continue to find ways to provide expanded access to League B to fans in the Philippines. As this is the league’s first year with Tap Sports and Tap GO, we are already planning to further improve coverage for next season.
