Manchester City’s Kyle Walker slammed by fans after ‘stupid’ red card for sending off Andre Silva
“He didn’t even seem to care!” Kyle Walker slammed by fans after “stupid” red card for ejecting RB Leipzig striker Andre Silva … with Man City defender now banned for first leg of round of 16
Manchester City defender Kyle Walker was criticized for his “stupidity” on social media on Tuesday night after his unnecessary red card in the loss to RB Leipzig.
The England international received his marching orders three minutes from time, as he shot unnecessarily on the left leg of Portuguese striker Andre Silva.
As City dominated Group A despite losing to Germany, Walker’s expulsion means the right-back will miss the first leg of the round of 16 in February and fans haven’t given him an easy ride online.

‘It sounded like one game too many [Kyle] Walker, âsaid the former Arsenal defender.
âHe didn’t seem to be himself tonight and he totally lost his mind there. Walker knows he is not at the level he has set for himself.
âHe’s frustrated with his performance and with this player in particular. He just got after it, you can’t do that. It’s a human reaction, but it’s going to cost City dearly in the next round.
Pep Guardiola also said afterwards that the City defender deserved his red card.
